Michaela Curnow
Interior Designer
Bachelor of Design in Interior Architecture
Miki’s passion for the modernist form provides the lens in which she views design. Her experience in residential design includes a love of sourcing and procuring bespoke 20th century vintage furniture pieces, objects and artefacts. She believes that a successful interior holds an alchemy of both function and creative form which is achieved though the curation of material, colours & textures. Miki basks in the detail of her projects believing every tangible item within the interior deserves careful consideration. She is intrigued by the unique user-relationships with the interior and how design as a tool can serve these experiences both practically and emotionally. Miki loves making art in all its forms, including model making. Apart from architecture and design, bushwalking, spending time outdoors and travel fill her time.
Heidi Faassen
Interior Designer
Bachelor of Interior Design
Heidi brings both commercial and residential interior design experience to the studio. She believes that interiors are designed to be experienced and deeply felt rather than merely seen. She is passionate about creating highly customised joinery pieces to suit individual clients and believes that design is a tool that should be used to serve the user – and beautiful design should always follow function. Heidi comes from a family of architects and designers and loves thrifting old furniture and up-cycling pieces. She enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and dog and is known to make a mean martini or old fashioned.

Thomas Martin
Director
NSW registered architect #10383
QLD registered architect #6260
Master of Architecture
Thomas established Rama Architects in 2019 after plying his trade in the residential, multi-residential and aged-care sectors of architecture for over a decade, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of delivering large scale projects and practice management. His passion in Architecture and Design is derived around aligning principals of practicality and functionality, notably enforced through the modernist ideologies of ‘form follows function’ and ‘less is more’. He has a keen eye in the construction detailing of projects and the analysing of how sophisticated layers of materials, new technologies and specialist consultants input all comes together in a harmonious and seamless manner with an emphasis on simplicity and restraint. He believes good design isn’t just about an aesthetic outcome shared by all, but rather a solution to a problem which stands the test of time. Outside of Rama Architects, Thomas enjoys down time with his family, good food and drink with mates, an awkward love for deep techno music, and is a tragic rugby fan.
